I am very sad to tell you that I am discontinuing Blue Monday as of today.  Our internet problem is not resolved and they may not solve the problems they are having for some time.  We received the call yesterday.

We are researching for a new server but the only one we might choose has a terrible record of efficiency because of where we live.  It is costly as well.  Still looking but without much hope.  If the new company finally gets their act together we will be served by them. The question is when.

My husband is making many trips to the library whenever he needs to go to town.  I came with him today to let you know what is happening.  Again, it is not practical to continue a blog party under these circumstances.

Thank you so much for making Blue Monday such a pleasure this past year. Would anyone like to carry on with Blue Monday?  I will check your responses sometime next week when we come into town.

COMPUTER SERVICE UPDATE

THE BAD NEWS IS I WILL NOT HAVE SERVICE FOR AS LONG AS TWO MONTHS.

Our internet service has been sold too another company.  When the tower failed and other service problems were happening our service provider decided to sell out. This has affected a huge area in our mountains.  We are searching for a new service but there are no options available right now.  Hard to understand but the problem is overwhelming.

INTERNET IS STILL A PROBLEM

I am very sad to tell you we still do not have internet in the remote mountains where we live.  The tower was destroyed by a bad storm with high winds approximately three weeks ago.   My nephew lives on the top of the highest mountain around here and he lives a mile away from us. Our internet gives him free service because they use his property for the internet tower.  At this time they are still building the new tower. Sigh!!!

At this moment we are in the local library and connected to their service.  Unfortunately the library is 18 miles from where we live. Not at all convenient. I am posting a Blue Monday post with the hope that by Monday our service will be up and running. 

If you do not see the link at the bottom of my page we still do not have a connection.

My table is 10 feet long and very narrow. I can't use chargers, sigh.  Our meal is always served buffet style on my kitchen island.

My centerpiece is two gold deer. Again, there is not much room.

My napkin holders are also deer.

I also use these pink tree plates on my bedroom mantel.

I made the mantel cover.

THESE DISHES ARE DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE.

My sister's were inspired by my love of poodles, so they gave me a small Christmas tree to feature my collection of poodle pins and figurines.

We have been blessed with three precious poodles through the years.

 Cheri' is our third poodle and you could say we are definitely a poodle family.

Our first poodle was a small white poodle named Trippy.  We found her when she was 3 months old along highway 10 in the panhandle of Florida on our way home from a vacation.  She had a collar but no tags.  We rescued her from certain death.  She was starving, soaking wet from the rain and covered with tics.  We had her for 10  loving years.

Trippy in the two photos.  She was a pretty little girl that began our love of poodles for a pet.

Our second poodle was a miniature black poodle That was bigger than Trippy and a real beauty.  She had a champion for her mother and we we able to get her because she had a bad bite. Not a bit noticeable but she couldn't be shown. Her name was Babette.

Thank you to our host Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.  This blog party is a long time tradition in the blogging world.  It is always a pleasure to be a part of Pink Saturday aka Anything goes.  It has brought together many blogging friends that have meaning to me.  I have not visited as much as I would like and I am trying harder to reconnect. 

FALL IS DONE AND CHRISTMAS BEGINS.

What do you do the day after Thanksgiving?  I pull down the Christmas boxes and the first thing I decorate is my hutch.

I change my hutch for the holidays.  When you come in my back door it is the first thing you see.  It gives me a lot of pleasure to start Christmas here...
